Strength Equipment
Strength training is a big part of physical fitness. Using weights,
free
weights, weight benches and weight machines is what adds strength
and endurance to the muscles themselves.
For every muscle grouping in the body, there is a corresponding system
of weight
machines that work the entire broad muscle group, as well as isolating
each specific muscle you want to bulk up or strengthen.
Free weights can be bought in weights from 2 lbs all the way up to
12 lbs and more for specialized needs. Most free weights are purchased
in sets so the progress is easy to track. Free weights are often sold
on trees or racks.
There are even adjustable dumbbell sets sold on one spool with interlocking
weight plates to add and takeaway as your workout evolves. Free weights
are proven to be just as effective to weight training as machines.
As far as machines go, again, there is a machine for every
muscle group:
• Vertical leg presses
• Curl benches for precision lifting
• Roman chair for back hyper-extension exercises
• Squat racks
• Olympic weight benches
• Pectoral and lateral muscle attachment weights and bars
• Vertical knee raise machine
• Delt machine
And that’s just to name a few.
